By converting the underutilized, communal studio space into housing, thirty additional rooms can be created within the existing structure. Stepping outside of the actual building, one may notice the five unused flower beds that run along the perimeter of the building. If these flower beds were to be transformed into studios, the new workspace created would provide the students with a place where they can engage with one another while allowing the Providence community a rare glimpse into the RISD bubble.
